Instead of saying “I don’t have time” try saying “it’s not a priority,” and see how that feels. Often, that’s a perfectly adequate explanation. I have time to iron my sheets, I just don’t want to. But other things are harder. Try it: “I’m not going to edit your résumé, sweetie, because it’s not a priority.” “I don’t go to the doctor because my health is not a priority.” If these phrases don’t sit well, that’s the point. Changing our language reminds us that time is a choice. If we don’t like how we’re spending an hour, we can choose differently.(via pablobanila)

Ugly Fruit
The idea came from the fact that US markets toss out 15 billion dollars worth of fruits and vegetables each year
just because they are bruised or discolored. But they are still fresh and edible. I felt there was an opportunity to stop
the waste, so Ugly Fruit was born. Ugly Fruit is a stand that makes juice, jams, and dried fruits out of unattractive
produce donated from our neighborhood grocery stores. Ugly fruit, pretty yummy!

Foxglove - Sproutling No. 8
Mixed media art doll (air dry clay, wire, glass, acrylic paint, wool). 17.5 inches tall from hat tip to toes. Completed on April 4th, 2013.
Foxglove will be on display at the Stitched exhibition at the Clutter Gallery in Beacon, NY from April 13th to May 4th, 2013. Adoption fee to be determined.
